Data Crunch Technologies

Data Crunch Technologies was originally established in 2002 to address the needs of amateur weather enthusiasts looking to place their own "weather cams" on the web.

Our first product, ImageSalsa, was introduced in January 2003.  ImageSalsa provides a flexible webcam framework for overlaying images, text, and weather data from weather stations and publishing the results to the World-Wide Web.  Many enhancements have been made since the initial releases and a version 2.0 is in the works for 2005 that will add even greater flexibility.

At the end of 2003, MovieSalsa -- an application for generating time-lapse movies -- was released as a companion product to ImageSalsa.  MovieSalsa works with images saved by ImageSalsa, digital cameras, or any other source of sequential JPEG images.

DCT is still a small company.  This creates a more personal interaction with our customers.  Most support questions go straight to the programmer.  This allows better problem resolution and allows a quick feedback path for feature suggestions.  We try to answer all support inquiries within 24 hours.

To back up our level of support, our customer satisfaction guarantee states that if you are not happy with our products, for any reason, we will refund your money.

We provide trial versions of our software that you can try as long as necessary to make sure the program will fit in your application.  These versions provide many of the features of the fully-registered product so you can "try before you buy".  If you have any problems or questions, feel free to contact us -- you will receive the same level of support as our registered customers.  After trying the trial version, you will probably agree that the software is well worth the price.

We value customer suggestions.  Many times, a customer has a suggestion that is easy to implement.  We will make the change and send them a new copy of the program to try out.  If it works for them and it makes the program better for others, We'll keep the change in the program for the next release.

Although we continue sell many copies of our software to weather enthusiasts, our products have found applications in other areas: civil engineering companies use our software to record project development, schools use our software for science classes, and amateur astronomers use our software to make movies of star movements.

In addition to the major ImageSalsa enhancements, we are looking forward to creating bundled kits for schools and individuals.

So, look around and feel free to ask if you have any questions!
